It must be earned. Facing life&#8217;s challenging experiences will develop resiliency&#8230; if you face them with courage, patience, and a little faith. However, if you want to grow your capacity for resiliency then there is no substitute for a <a href="https://theintegraldojo.com/5-aspects-development/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">developmental practice</a>. Any practice that is committed, long-term, and keeps you at the edge of your comfort zone will gradually develop your physical, psychological, emotional, and yes, even <em>spiritual resiliency. </em></p><img width="760" height="428" src="https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--760x428.jpg" class="featured-image wp-post-image" alt="" srcset="https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--760x428.jpg 760w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--300x169.jpg 300w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--1024x577.jpg 1024w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--768x432.jpg 768w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--1536x865.jpg 1536w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--2048x1153.jpg 2048w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--518x292.jpg 518w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--82x46.jpg 82w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/SpiritualResiliency-VoiceDialogue--600x338.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px" />
<p><span id="more-5411"></span></p>
<h2>Spirit Is Always, Already Resilient</h2>
<p>Any developmental practice will gradually, and consistently take you to the edge of your comfort zone&#8230; and just a little beyond. It is in the zone of <em>&#8220;a little beyond&#8221;</em> that you grow. This growth zone is also when your resiliency grows. In this sense, our capacity for resiliency is relative and equal to our growth and development.</p>
<p>But there is a place within you that is not relative, but rather absolute. It&#8217;s a state beyond time and space&#8230; a state that was never born and will never die. In fact, it is your spiritual core and its very nature is resilience. Spiritual resiliency is your birthright.</p>
<p>For your relative sense of self, resiliency must be earned. That&#8217;s why we practice. But when it comes to your spiritual nature, you are always, already resilient.</p>

<p>On April 30th, 2020 I lead a session on &#8220;Spiritual Resiliency&#8221; for the <a href="https://embodiedfacilitator.com/resilience-day/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">&#8220;Embodying Resilience&#8221;</a> day-conference. The below video is an excerpt from that session where I lead a voice dialogue process looking at our relative resiliency, the edge of our comfort zone, and that space where we are already, always resilient.</p>
<p>Enjoy!</p>
