But when it comes to our training, perhaps the one Aikido practice that develops &#8220;awase&#8221; the most, is the weapons. In the below Aikido Bokken video tutorial, I will teach you <em>the 4 points of &#8220;awase.&#8221;</em></p><img width="760" height="426" src="https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-760x426.jpg" class="featured-image wp-post-image" alt="Aikido Bokken Tutorial w/ Miles Kessler Sensei" srcset="https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-760x426.jpg 760w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-300x168.jpg 300w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-1024x574.jpg 1024w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-768x431.jpg 768w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-1536x862.jpg 1536w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-2048x1149.jpg 2048w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-518x291.jpg 518w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-82x46.jpg 82w, https://theintegraldojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Aiki-KenTutorial-SplashTemplate-600x337.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px" />

<h2>The 4 Points Of Awase In Aikido Bokken</h2>
<p>The below video is a continuation of my series of tutorials on Aikido Bokken. Previously, we explored important points of solo practice by looking at <a href="https://theintegraldojo.com/striking-vs-cutting-with-the-bokken/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">&#8220;cutting vs. striking&#8221;</a>, and the <a href="https://theintegraldojo.com/aikido-bokken-lifting-striking/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">&#8220;lifting and striking&#8221;</a> of the bokken.</p>
<p>In this Aikido bokken tutorial, you will learn 4 points that if you perfect your blending with then you&#8217;ll always be in harmony with the attacks, and any changes in the movements of your training partners.</p>
<p>The 4 points of &#8220;awase&#8221; in Aikido Bokken are:</p>
<ol>
<li>Blending the hands</li>
<li>Blending the feet, or steps</li>
<li>Blending the speed</li>
<li>Blending the timing, or rhythm</li>
</ol>
<p>Here is your tutorial:</p>
