In our previous chat, master facilitator Mark Walsh (“The Embodiment Podcast”) and I spoke about 3 phases of our personal development, namely “retreating from the world, returning to the marketplace and expressing our practice in virtual space” – and how each one of these moves comes with its set of challenges and learning curves. In this video once again we’re off to the races as we romp through the topic of “Polarity, Sex, & Enlightenment.

In this free-flowing dialogue, Mark and I explore the dialectical tension between opposites we find in everyday life. We touch on some of the core polarities such as duality & non-duality, yin & yang, and masculine & feminine.  How the practice of “polarizing to purify” helps us to integrate all aspects of the spectrum.

Mark and I agree that complex development requires you to create the capacity to move freely in, and out of the polarities. We all have a natural orientation towards one pole on any spectrum. But our practice demands we open up to the opposite end of the spectrum and learn how to integrate it.

In the below dialogue, we discuss how a committed practice will inevitably lead you to fully embodying the fundamental polarities in Self, with Others, and in the World. Enjoy!
